Overview

It started out as a joke, nothing more than a rumor: someone was going around Montreal pretending to be a member of the family.

This story takes place shortly before the events of Chapter Ten in A Life Chosen, Book I of the Montreal series. It covers a week in the life of Mathias and Rayan as they hunt down an imposter passing himself off as a member of the family and find themselves felled by an unexpected foe.
