Jordan and Chloe left their mark on the gaming world at twenty years old. Each new trade show stunt—from a fake marriage proposal to taking overbearing corporate egos down a notch—kept the brash, geeky couple in the spotlight as tech blog darlings. Eight years later, they maintain the public persona for work. Behind closed doors they wonder if they’re really the open-minded couple who’ll try anything, or if it’s all just a scam. When they rescue Liz from the overzealous questions of a blogger, they find a kindred soul. A night of fun and games ends with Liz, Chloe, and Jordan exploring how much fun open-minded can be, and wow the memories. Then Jordan is arrested in front of the cameras, and the world and his employer discard him in favor of the next bad boy (but not too bad) of gaming. Liz is the only person willing to help him and Chloe survive the media nightmare, but it’s not enough to save his career or stem their growing attraction and jealousy. After all, in a world where scandal sells more advertising space than innovation, three people can’t have a private happily ever after.
